EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of Between the Sheets Curling Club will be held at 22.45h on Tuesday, 17 December, 2019 at Greenacres Curling Rink following the John Scott Meat competition.

The EGM has been called by the Executive Committee to approve amendments to the Club Constitution contained in the document “Between the Sheets Curling Club – Constitution” dated November, 2019. Any amendments to the single motion to be considered must be made to the Club Secretary by written proposal, signed by at least two Voting Members of the Club, within seven days of this notice.

     That the BTS Club Constitution be amended to :

    • Recognise the change from the Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC) to Scottish Curling (the trading name of the RCCC) – Articles 3, 4, 5.1, 5.3 and 9.2.
    • Require playing members to be members of Scottish Curling (i.e. RCCC) as discussed and agreed at 2018-2019 AGM – Article 5.1.
    • Relax the maximum terms of office for members of the Executive Committee as discussed and agreed at 2018-2019 AGM – Article 6.4.
    • Separate Articles relating to payment of subscriptions and ice fees – Articles 5.3 and 5.5.
    • Recognise Club Honorary Members (Non-Playing) – Articles 4, 5.2, 5.3 and 8.4.
    • Recognise bank procedures for management of the club cheque account – Article 8.2.

 

The amended BTS Club Constitution is attached to the notice of EGM as document titled “Between the Sheets Curling Club – Constitution” dated November, 2019.
